Old-Time Stuffing
2 tablespoons canola oil
3 cups salad croutons
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons of ground sage
1 lg egg
1 cup chicken broth
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Heat the oil and butter in a heavy skillet. Add onion and celery, sauté until tender. Add
croutons, salt, black pepper, sage and broth bring to simmer and remove from heat. let cool for 10 minutes then
stir in egg. Stuff meat of your choice or bake for 25 – 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
