SPAGHETTI MEAT SAUCE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(Thick, hearty and meaty version) 

 

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1 med green pepper, finely chopped
15 oz  tomatoes, diced
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
2tsp basil, dried
2 tsp. oregano 

1  c. broth
2 tsp. sugar
1 clove garlic, chpd 

1 ½ tsp salt 

¼ tsp pepper 


16 oz. spaghetti
Grated Parmesan cheese 

Cook and stir meat, onion and pepper until meat is almost brown and onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and let simmer 30 - 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

Cook spaghetti as directed on package, drain – or see video on this site. Serve meat sauce over hot spaghetti with Parmesan cheese.  

 

(Traditional version)
